ABOUT VELVET LIGHT BOUDOIR
As a fine art boudoir photographer with over twenty years of experience behind the camera, my goal is to create intimate and empowering images that celebrate the beauty and individuality of each of my subjects. I strive to capture the essence of my client's personalities and desires and to create a safe and comfortable environment where they can let their guard down and truly be themselves.
I believe that boudoir photography is not just about taking sexy pictures, but about empowering women to feel confident and beautiful in their own skin. I work closely with each of my clients to create a personalized experience that reflects their unique style and personality.
My approach to boudoir photography is heavily influenced by my background in fine art and my passion for capturing the beauty of the human form in a way that feels timeless. I use natural light in a studio setting to create a soft, ethereal quality in my images. I also focus on composition, space, and the use of shadows to create a sense of intimacy and connection between my subjects and the viewer.
I believe that the best photographs are those that tell a story and evoke emotion. I strive to create images that are not only beautiful, but that also speak to the individual and unique experiences of each of my clients.
YOUR SESSION
There’s no doubt about it, boudoir photography is an intimate experience. You’re choosing to open up and show a side of yourself that you consider private. Every client that I’ve had the pleasure of working with has been nervous before their session. Nerves are completely natural. Don’t Worry, I’m here to help ease your concerns and guide you through the entire process.
What should I do for my hair and makeup?
Professional hair and makeup is provided as a complimentary service with each boudoir session. I have partnered up with several amazing hair and makeup artists here in Savannah so that you'll look stunning in your photos! Even if you enjoy doing your hair and makeup, I would encourage you to take the day off. The team that I work with do a fantastic job. Let them pamper you so that you can relax before your shoot.
What if I don't know how to pose?
One of the biggest concerns I hear from all my clients is that "I don't know how to pose." I've got you covered! At the beginning of each session, I walk everyone through the posing process and guide you throughout the entire shoot to get the right shots.
What is included in each session?
There is a retainer of $400 that is required to book a session. Photos and prints are purchased separately.
Sessions include:
Professional hair and make-up
Wardrobe planning
3-hour boudoir photography session
Direction and guided posing
Professional retouching (Photoshop)
Image Reveal (This is when you see your final images and pick what photos you’d like.)
